AI Software Engineer

Gallatin is building AI-powered logistics infrastructure for national security missions. We're looking for an AI/ML Software Engineer to own and deploy AI models across the full lifecycle, from data collection to real-time inference. You'll work with cross-functional teams to deliver impactful AI applications in high-stakes environments.

• Build and deploy AI/ML models for core product needs.
• Validate AI features through real-world testing.
• Establish scalable MLOps pipelines and real-time inference services.
• Ensure high model reliability and uptime through monitoring.
• Integrate structured, unstructured, real-time, and batch data sources.
• Stay ahead of AI trends and document best practices.
• Contribute to hiring and mentoring of AI/ML talent.

• Expertise in Python, C++, or C.
• Hands-on experience with PyTorch, TensorFlow, CUDA, Jupyter Notebooks.
• Experience with LLMs and models like Llama, Anthropic, Mistral.
• Familiarity with LangChain, RAG, Hugging Face, Exo Labs.
• Knowledge of data processing frameworks (Apache Kafka, Airflow, AWS Kinesis, pandas, dbt).
• Understanding of AI model monitoring and observability tools (Grafana, Kibana).
• Deep understanding of DNNs, LLMs, prompt engineering, and LLM security.
