Join Forge as a Research Engineer focusing on model adaptation, post-training, evaluation, and data pipelines. You will work on continual pretraining, supervised fine-tuning, reinforcement learning, and distillation for large language models. Requires strong Python skills and experience with PyTorch or JAX.
Responsibilities
- Develop and optimize model adaptation techniques including continual pretraining, SFT, RL, and distillation
- Design and maintain data pipelines for training and evaluation
- Conduct evaluations of LLM performance and iterate on post-training strategies
- Collaborate with researchers and engineers to advance Forge's model capabilities
Requirements
- Strong proficiency in Python
- Experience with PyTorch or JAX
- Hands-on experience with LLM training and post-training methods
- Background in model adaptation, evaluation, and data pipelines
Nice to Have
- Experience with large-scale distributed training
- Publications in ML or NLP conferences
- Familiarity with reinforcement learning from human feedback (RLHF)
