Figure is seeking Perception Engineers to join the Helix team, focusing on enabling humanoid robots to perform dynamic operations in real-world environments. The role requires production-level software and ML engineering skills, along with expertise in 3D vision, VIO/SLAM, VLM, or diffusion models. This is an on-site position based in San Jose, CA.
Responsibilities
- Develop perception systems for humanoid robots to operate in dynamic real-world environments
- Implement and optimize algorithms for 3D vision, VIO/SLAM, VLM, or diffusion models
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to integrate perception solutions into production systems
- Ensure robustness and reliability of perception software in demanding conditions
Requirements
- Experience in production-level software and ML engineering
- Domain expertise in 3D Vision, VIO/SLAM, VLM, or Diffusion Models
- Strong programming skills in Python and C++
- Familiarity with ML frameworks such as PyTorch or TensorFlow
Nice to Have
- Experience with robotics or autonomous systems
