About the Role
Extenda Retail is seeking an AI Enablement Engineer to design, implement, and scale AI architecture and solutions. This role involves building reusable AI assets, monitoring the AI landscape, and driving AI adoption across the company. The ideal candidate has a software engineering background and hands-on experience with LLM APIs and Google Cloud AI.
Responsibilities
- Define how AI solutions are structured, integrated, and scaled across the company; work with senior stakeholders to map processes and identify AI opportunities; build reusable assets like skill libraries and agent templates; monitor AI trends and bring practical advancements; build AI literacy; partner with product and engineering teams; ensure AI solutions are secure, observable, and maintainable on GCP.
Requirements
- Software engineering background; hands-on experience with LLM APIs (Anthropic, Copilot, OpenAI); hands-on experience with Google Cloud AI (Vertex AI, Gemini, BigQuery); experience working with SaaS products, ideally in retail software; strong communication skills.
Nice to Have
- Experience with event-driven enterprise architecture.
