AI Engineer

Esko is seeking an AI Engineer to lead the design, optimization, and governance of their Generative AI ecosystem. This role involves developing agentic AI systems, advanced RAG pipelines, and safe, production-grade AI capabilities for packaging design workflows. The position is hybrid in Prague.

• Design and scale agentic AI systems using orchestration frameworks like LangGraph, CrewAI, or AutoGen
• Develop systematic evaluation and benchmarking pipelines using G-Eval, RAGAS, and LLM-as-a-Judge
• Implement advanced RAG strategies including multi-stage re-ranking, hybrid search, and query expansion
• Optimize model inference performance using quantization (AWQ, GGUF) and caching strategies
• Collaborate with Data Science and DevOps to transition prototypes into production-ready APIs
• Implement safety guardrails, red-teaming workflows, and alignment mechanisms

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, AI, or related field
• Minimum 6 years software engineering experience with at least 3 years in LLM application development
• Hands-on experience with parameter-efficient fine-tuning (LoRA, QLoRA)
• Strong proficiency in PyTorch or JAX
• Expert-level experience with LangChain, LlamaIndex, or Haystack and scaling vector databases (Pinecone, Weaviate, Milvus)
• Proven experience building custom evaluation datasets and tracking experiments (Weights & Biases, MLflow)
• Strong understanding of LLMOps including CI/CD, prompt versioning, and model endpoint management
