EchoStar is seeking a Senior AI Platform and Reliability Engineer to design and deploy self-healing infrastructure and AI orchestration workflows. The role bridges the gap between machine learning and production-grade software, focusing on LLMs, RAG pipelines, and deep observability to ensure stability in high-traffic cloud environments. Based in Denver, CO.
Responsibilities
- Architect and deploy self-healing infrastructure with predictive intelligence and autonomous remediation
- Design high-scale AI orchestration workflows and RAG pipelines
- Automate resolution of Tier-1 and Tier-2 incidents using Runbooks-as-Code
- Lead fine-tuning and evaluation of open-source models
- Establish AI engineering best practices through code reviews and mentorship
- Implement full-stack observability across customer order journey
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in CS or related field (or 5+ years equivalent experience)
- 5+ years backend or full-stack development, with 2+ years focused on AI
- Expert proficiency in Python and Java
- Hands-on expertise with AWS, Serverless, and Kubernetes
- Experience with RAG pipelines and vector databases like Milvus
