About the Role

Deloitte's Government & Public Services practice is seeking a Lead AI and Data Science Engineer to design and deploy AI-enabled solutions for a mission-critical records modernization effort. The role focuses on integrating ServiceNow with Google AI platforms, building intelligent triage, document classification, and workflow automation capabilities. You will also mentor junior engineers and help deliver secure, scalable production-ready systems.

Responsibilities

Design, develop, and deploy AI and automation capabilities for digital case intake, records processing, and case review workflows.
Build solutions such as intelligent triage, document classification, duplicate case detection, electronic signature workflows, and automated data validation.
Develop production-ready pipelines, models, and application components using Python and cloud-based services.
Deliver AI capabilities including OCR, computer vision, case summarization, workflow automation, and content generation.
Mentor junior developers, contribute to solution design, and monitor model performance and accuracy.

Requirements

Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Engineering, or a related field.
5+ years of experience in data engineering or artificial intelligence development.
5+ years of experience architecting and deploying data pipelines, AI agents, or machine learning models into production.
