CrowdFarming is seeking a Senior AI & Backend Engineer to build next-generation distributed systems and lead the integration of agentic AI into their software development workflow. The role focuses on designing robust AWS serverless architectures while simultaneously constructing an internal 'Software Factory' using LLMs and AI agents for code generation, testing, and QA. You will bridge traditional backend engineering with cutting-edge AI automation, creating guardrails and tools that allow agents to safely plan, implement, and review software changes.

Responsibilities

Design and evolve distributed backend services and event-driven architectures on AWS.
Build and maintain a agentic Software Factory where AI agents handle planning, implementation, testing, and QA.
Develop APIs and capabilities specifically designed for consumption by both human developers and AI agents.
Create tooling and guardrails to ensure safe agent interaction with repositories and infrastructure.
Improve observability systems to detect anomalies and generate actionable tasks automatically.

Requirements

5+ years of backend experience with significant production system exposure.
Expertise in Node.js, TypeScript, and frameworks like NestJS.
Deep knowledge of AWS serverless components (Lambda, EventBridge, Step Functions, SQS/SNS, API Gateway).
