About the Role
Kainos is seeking a Principal AI Engineer to lead the delivery of advanced AI solutions at scale. The role combines technical leadership, client engagement, and team management, leveraging machine learning, generative AI, and agentic AI technologies. You will drive modern AI frameworks, AIOps best practices, and cloud-native architectures while mentoring and developing the team.
Responsibilities
- Lead successful delivery of advanced AI solutions using machine learning, generative AI, and agentic AI technologies
- Drive adoption of modern AI frameworks, AIOps best practices, and scalable cloud-native architectures
- Provide technical leadership and engage with senior stakeholders to define architectural principles and strategy
- Manage, coach, and develop team members, fostering engineering excellence and continuous learning
Requirements
- Minimum 2.1 degree in Computer Science, AI, Data Science, Statistics, or a similar quantitative field
- Proven experience leading multi-disciplinary teams to deliver AI/ML solutions in production
- Demonstrable technical leadership in AI delivery, including architecture and product design principles
- Experience with prompt engineering, RAG, agentic AI, model evaluation, and monitoring metrics
- Strong Python skills and software engineering best practices (CI/CD, testing, code reviews)
