Senior Specialist - Treasury AI Engineer

Charles Schwab's Treasury team is modernizing with AI and cloud platforms. This Senior Specialist role involves building and scaling cloud-native data and AI capabilities, including AI agents and LLM-powered tools, to enhance Treasury analyst workflows. The position requires strong engineering skills in Python, GCP, and AI/ML, with a focus on practical business impact.

• Build and scale cloud-native data, AI platforms, and AI agents on GCP. Enable Treasury analysts through LLMs, vector search, AI agents, and BI tooling. Establish modern data engineering and DevOps practices. Translate analytical and business needs into production-grade systems. Leverage open-source technologies to accelerate delivery.

• 3+ years of experience in software, data, or platform engineering. Hands-on experience with Google Cloud Platform (GCP). Experience building and scaling AI agents. Experience with CI/CD, DevOps, and production operations. Proficiency in Python for data engineering, automation, and AI development.

• Proficiency with Terraform for Infrastructure-as-Code. Demonstrated experience evaluating, adopting, and contributing to open-source data and AI tooling. Background in data engineering and building data systems. Exposure to BI and analytics platforms (e.g., Looker, Tableau). Ability to understand Treasury functions.
