Staff AI Engineer

Stacks is building AI-powered automation for financial close processes. We are looking for a Staff AI Engineer to lead AI/ML efforts, developing autonomous agents, ML models, and data pipelines to transform financial workflows. This role involves hands-on work with generative AI, data engineering, and production ML systems.

• Build and optimize AI agents for financial workflow automation. Design, train, and deploy ML models for forecasting and transaction categorization. Engineer data pipelines for structured and unstructured data. Leverage generative AI and transformer architectures. Validate and benchmark model performance in production.

• 5+ years of experience as a Data Scientist, Data Engineer, or ML Engineer. Financial domain expertise in forecasting and transaction analytics. Proficiency in Python and modern ML frameworks. Experience deploying ML models to production. Entrepreneurial mindset and user-centric approach.
