Booking.com seeks a Senior AI Application Software Engineer to architect and build agentic solutions within the CBO Office. The role focuses on evolving early AI use cases into a scalable product ecosystem by designing multi-agent workflows and integrating enterprise systems. This is an application-focused role requiring strong software engineering fundamentals rather than ML research.
Responsibilities
- Architect and productionise AI-powered applications, agents, and multi-agent workflows.
- Translate business requirements into technical designs and secure, maintainable production solutions.
- Design agent orchestration, retrieval/grounding, context management, and MCP-based integrations.
- Implement evaluation, observability, guardrails, and human-in-the-loop mechanisms.
- Own end-to-end solution lifecycle including code quality, security, deployment, and monitoring.
Requirements
- Minimum 5 years of professional experience as a Software Engineer (backend, full-stack, or platform).
- Strong software architecture and system-design experience.
- Hands-on experience building GenAI and agentic applications in production.
- Practical experience with AI agents, orchestration, and multi-agent systems.
