Bolt is seeking a Senior AI/Agent Engineer to design and build production-grade AI agents that automate complex People (HR) processes. You will own the full lifecycle of agentic systems, from solution design and tool contract definition to evaluation, safety, and production monitoring. This role focuses on creating safe, scalable, and reliable workflows using LLM-powered automation within an event-driven architecture.
Responsibilities
- Design and implement production AI agents that take real actions across HRIS, ATS, and payroll systems.
- Define tool contracts, input validation, permission scoping, and idempotency strategies for agent safety.
- Build reliable agentic workflows, multi-step LLM pipelines, and retrieval solutions (RAG).
- Establish evaluation, observability, and safety practices including regression suites and audit trails.
- Mentor engineers and contribute to agentic AI standards and technical hiring.
Requirements
- Strong software engineering fundamentals with experience in service-oriented, scalable systems.
- Hands-on experience shipping AI agents or LLM features to production, specifically using tool/function calling.
- Experience with LLM evaluation, observability, and handling non-deterministic behavior.
