ActAI is seeking an LLM Application Engineer to build the intelligence layer for proactive AI applications. You will design and implement agentic workflows, orchestration pipelines, and evaluation systems to turn probabilistic model outputs into reliable user experiences. The role sits at the intersection of software engineering, product, and AI, focusing on reducing hallucinations and improving long-running workflow reliability.
Responsibilities
- Build and ship LLM-powered applications and AI agent workflows
- Design systems for reasoning, planning, memory, tool use, and multi-step execution
- Integrate LLMs with APIs, databases, search, and external tools
- Develop prompting, context engineering, and structured output techniques
- Build evaluation frameworks to measure AI quality and reliability
- Establish production practices for observability, tracing, and experimentation
Requirements
- Strong software engineering fundamentals with experience building AI-powered applications
- Hands-on experience with LLMs, generative AI, or agent-based systems
- Ability to write clean, production-quality code in Python
