About the Role
Apple is seeking a Machine Learning Researcher to work on ambitious, curiosity-driven, long-term research projects. This role focuses on foundational machine learning research, including efficient training algorithms and fast inference models, especially with multi-modal, multi-task, and reasoning capabilities. You will collaborate with world-class engineers and researchers, publish results in top venues, and help shape future Apple products.
Responsibilities
- Conduct foundational research in machine learning
- Define and pursue a research agenda focused on efficient training algorithms and fast inference
- Develop high-quality code and provide technical mentorship
- Prepare publications and presentations for top-tier conferences
Requirements
- Demonstrated expertise in machine learning research
- Publication record in relevant conferences (e.g., NeurIPS, ICML, ICLR, AAAI, CVPR, ICCV, ECCV, ACL, EMNLP)
- Strong hands-on experience with Python and deep learning toolkits such as PyTorch
- Strong mathematical skills in linear algebra and statistics
- PhD or equivalent practical experience in Computer Science or a related technical field
