Anduril Industries is seeking a Staff Machine Learning/MLOps Engineer to lead the design, deployment, and sustainment of AI infrastructure for their Maritime Digital Production team. The role focuses on operationalizing advanced models, building ML platform components, and integrating AI into production systems with human-in-the-loop controls. The engineer will collaborate across teams to translate factory scenarios into applied AI workflows.
Responsibilities
Architect and own the AI/ML platform stack from data ingestion to model monitoring.
Select, prioritize, and standardize industrial AI components including feature stores, vector databases, and orchestration layers.
Build model-serving and inference frameworks for production environments across cloud, edge, and shop-floor systems.
Translate factory scenarios into applied AI workflows with human-in-the-loop gates and integration contracts.
Implement event-driven data pipelines and telemetry systems.
Drive make/buy strategy for AI capabilities.
Define model governance processes for validation, safety, and rollback.
Lead reliability engineering for deployed models.
Mentor junior engineers and establish MLOps best practices.
Requirements
8+ years of experience in software or ML engineering with production-grade AI/ML systems.
Deep experience with MLOps: data acquisition, pipeline management, model versioning, and monitoring.
