[Remote] Data Scientist

AArete is seeking a Data Scientist to analyze data, develop AI/ML models, and design agentic AI workflows. The role involves applying generative AI techniques, building RAG systems, and partnering with stakeholders to translate data-driven solutions into actionable business strategies.

• Mine and analyze data to drive optimization and improvement of business strategies
• Develop custom AI/ML models and algorithms to apply to data sets
• Design, prototype, and evaluate Agentic AI workflows, including tool-using agents, retrieval-augmented generation, orchestration patterns, and human-in-the-loop controls
• Apply advanced Generative AI techniques, including prompt engineering, model evaluation, grounding, safety guardrails, and responsible AI practices
• Leverage AI assistive engineering tools such as Claude Code, GitHub Copilot, or similar platforms
• Partner with business and technical stakeholders to frame ambiguous problems and translate AI/ML opportunities into measurable outcomes

• 3-5 years of work experience with a bachelor's degree in a quantitative field (CS, Statistics, Economics, Math, Engineering); advanced degree preferred
• Previous experience with relational databases and advanced SQL queries
• Hands-on Agentic AI experience (AI agents, multi-step workflows, tool/function calling, RAG, orchestration)
