Addepar is hiring a Senior Software Engineer to join its new Applied AI team, building agentic AI systems end-to-end for strategic clients. You will identify high-value use cases, prototype solutions, tune evaluations, and partner with core engineering to ship them as product. The role spans LLM integrations, prompt engineering, function calling, retrieval-augmented workflows, and production monitoring for reliability, cost, and performance. Up to 15% travel to client sites is expected.
Responsibilities
- Build agentic AI systems end-to-end, embedded with strategic clients
- Identify what is worth building and prototype solutions
- Tune evaluations until AI works reliably in practice
- Partner with core engineering teams to ship solutions as product
- Implement LLM integrations, prompt engineering, function calling, and retrieval-augmented workflows
- Monitor production systems for reliability, cost, and performance
- Travel up to 15% to client sites
Requirements
- Extensive professional software engineering experience with Python as primary language
- Hands-on work with LLM APIs including function calling and structured outputs
- Comfort with SQL for data exploration
- Experience building something from zero to one
