XPENG is seeking a Senior Machine Learning Engineer to build state-of-the-art ML infrastructure for training large-scale foundation models used in autonomous driving and robotics. You will design data pipelines for massive vehicle fleets, implement distributed training frameworks using advanced parallelisms, and accelerate model inference for simulation and enterprise applications. This role requires deep expertise in PyTorch, transformer architectures, and high-performance computing.

• Design and implement training data pipelines streaming from hundreds of petabytes of vehicle data
• Implement training frameworks for physical AI foundation models (VLA, Robotics)
• Accelerate training using FSDP, Expert Parallel, and Context Parallel techniques
• Optimize model inference on the cloud for closed-loop simulation and reinforcement learning
• Profile models and perform debugging to improve training and inference speed

• Master's degree in CS/CE/EE or equivalent industry experience
• Deep knowledge of PyTorch and transformer architecture
• Experience with model inference frameworks like vLLM or SGLang
• Proven track record in large-scale distributed training
• Strong skills in profiling and optimizing model performance

• Previous experience in the autonomous driving industry
• Experience writing custom CUDA operations
• Knowledge of edge computing systems
• Familiarity with distributed computing frameworks such as Ray
