Sun Life is seeking an AI Engineer to drive GenAI innovation and build scalable cloud-based solutions within their IT Platforms and Engineering Domain. The role involves designing AI bots/agents, implementing RAG techniques, and collaborating with enterprise architects to integrate advanced AI capabilities into insurance products. Candidates will work in a hybrid environment in Toronto, leveraging AWS services and DevOps practices to deliver high-impact automation workflows.
Responsibilities
- Research and pilot the latest GenAI technologies and practices
- Develop and deploy scalable AI solutions and automation workflows for business use cases
- Design and implement solutions aligning with platform capabilities roadmap
- Create technical design artifacts including data models and interfaces
- Enhance DevOps practices to enforce software guardrails and increase automation
- Provide post-production support, troubleshooting, and performance optimization
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or relevant field
- 3+ years of development experience
- Practical experience with Python, Java, AWS Lambda, and APIs
- Experience developing AI bots/agents and familiarity with chatbot concepts
