Senior Machine Learning Engineer, Developer Advocacy | Spain | Remote

Grafana Labs is hiring a Senior Machine Learning Engineer to lead the evolution of their Interactive Learning recommendation system. This applied product data science role involves building, deploying, and operating personalized recommendation models, defining evaluation metrics, and shipping iterative improvements in collaboration with software engineers and data analysts. The position is fully remote and open to candidates in Spain.

• Evolve the Interactive Learning recommendation system toward more personalized candidate selection, ranking, sequencing, and next-best-action recommendations.
• Build and operate a real-time recommendation service, including model training, serving, validation, versioning, monitoring, and iteration.
• Define offline, online, and longitudinal metrics for recommendation quality.
• Own feature pipelines and model/architecture monitoring.
• Ship incremental improvements and integrate them into the existing recommender.
• Partner with software engineers, data analysts, and product analytics teams on experimentation, instrumentation, and rollout.

• Strong applied ML and data science skills, with hands-on experience building and operating recommendation or personalization models.
• Experience designing experiments and defining evaluation methodology.
• Ability to manage the full model lifecycle: from training and serving to monitoring and iteration.
