Machine Learning Engineer

Onwelo is seeking a Machine Learning Engineer to join a healthcare client's team. The role involves designing, developing, and deploying ML models, building MLOps pipelines, and optimizing models for document classification and data extraction. The ideal candidate has strong software engineering and ML skills, with experience in production deployments.

• Design, develop, and deploy machine learning models; Build and maintain MLOps pipelines; Optimize ML models for document classification, segmentation, and data extraction; Implement models in production environments.

• 3–5 years of experience in machine learning projects; Strong proficiency in Python (Pandas, ScikitLearn, TensorFlow or PyTorch, PyStats, Pydantic) and SQL; Experience building and deploying production ML models; Knowledge of Docker and containerization; Experience with AWS for ML engineering; English at least B2.
