Slalom seeks an AI Engineer Consultant in Toronto to apply machine learning and deep learning to build AI tools that solve real business problems. The role involves designing and delivering traditional ML solutions in areas such as Computer Vision, NLP, and Recommendation Systems. You will stay current with AI/ML trends and contribute to the internal AI community.
Responsibilities
- Apply Machine Learning, Deep Learning, and other technologies to build AI tools.
- Assist in design, development, and delivery of ML solutions in Computer Vision, NLP, Recommendation Systems, etc.
- Stay updated on fundamental AI/ML concepts and emerging trends.
- Contribute to the growth of the AI/ML community through learning, mentoring, and sharing knowledge.
Requirements
- 3+ years experience implementing models or machine learning algorithms into production.
- 1-2 years professional consulting experience preferred.
- Strong consultative and communication skills.
- Fluency in AI, GenAI, ML and at least one major cloud (AWS, GCP, Azure).
- Hands-on experience with RAG, agentic workflows, fine-tuning, or LLM-based techniques.
- Experience deploying ML/AI into production.
