About the Role

Sanofi's Digital R&D team is hiring a Data & AI Engineer in Paris to design scalable data pipelines and machine learning workflows. This hybrid role focuses on ETL/ELT, cloud data platforms, MLOps, and data governance to support drug discovery and clinical trial efficiency. You'll collaborate with scientists and cross-functional teams, mentor peers, and promote data engineering best practices in a biopharma environment.

Responsibilities

Design and implement end-to-end data pipelines and platform components for scalable, reliable cloud environments.
Develop and optimize data models with focus on query performance and efficient workloads.
Translate business requirements into technical solutions and define interface contracts between data products and applications.
Ensure data quality, standardization, observability, and governance across systems.
Automate data ingestion processes and monitoring systems to track operational KPIs and maintain pipeline health.
Build and maintain ETL processes and machine learning workflows, providing clean AI-ready data.
Drive MLOps/AIOps practices including model deployment pipelines, performance monitoring, and reproducibility of ML experiments.
Lead and promote data engineering best practices: CI/CD, containerization, code review, and technical documentation standards.
Mentor team members and contribute to the team's technical growth through knowledge sharing.
