ML Engineer

Alma, a French BNPL leader, is hiring a Machine Learning Engineer to join its AI team. You will own ML products end-to-end, from credit-scoring models to operational intelligence, and improve the ML platform that serves them. The role combines model development with MLOps and infrastructure, working closely with Data, SRE, and Quantitative Analysis teams.

• Own ML models across their full lifecycle: data pipelines, feature engineering, training, evaluation, deployment, and monitoring while guarding against leakage, overfitting, and drift.
• Run and improve the ML platform: own GitOps CI/CD and release processes, monitor serving endpoints, latency, and load in Datadog, and define SLOs and alerting.
• Turn ML into business value: collaborate with risk, operational, and product teams to identify and ship ML opportunities, from credit scoring to operational intelligence, and share expertise through code reviews and tech watch.

• 5+ years building and shipping ML in production with strong Python and SQL skills.
• Solid ML fundamentals including evaluation, leakage, over/under-fitting, and clean, tested, reviewable code.
• Hands-on experience with MLOps and infrastructure: data pipelines, monitoring, system design, and live prediction/streaming.
• Comfortable reasoning about latency, scale, and reliability.
