Plumerai is seeking a Senior Deep Learning Research Engineer to develop state-of-the-art AI products for embedded devices and cloud environments. The role involves improving training algorithms, integrating multimodal LLMs, and optimizing models for low-power hardware with a focus on computer vision. You will work within a high-performing team to deploy efficient AI solutions used by major brands in smart home and security sectors.
Responsibilities
- Develop and improve training algorithms and model architectures for computer vision and multimodal LLMs.
- Optimize deep learning models for deployment on low-cost, low-power edge devices and cloud infrastructure.
- Build and enhance data pipelines using Snowflake and Dataflow.
- Deploy PyTorch and TensorFlow training jobs on Kubernetes clusters.
- Prototype new AI features and demos using tools like Streamlit.
Requirements
- 5+ years of professional software engineering experience with strong proficiency in Python.
- Experience with deep learning frameworks such as PyTorch, TensorFlow, Keras, or JAX.
- Strong background in computer vision and multimodal LLMs.
- Proven track record of training neural networks that have moved into production.
