Planet is seeking a Solutions Architect to lead technical engagements with customers, leveraging expertise in remote sensing and geospatial data. The role involves designing robust solution architectures, prototyping applications using AI/ML tools, and guiding cross-functional teams to deliver value-driven outcomes for commercial and government clients.
Responsibilities
- Architect and operationalize solutions based on customer requirements and business strategies.
- Lead pre-sales activities, workshops, and demo-app creation using Python and AI tools.
- Act as technical lead in Agile environments, collaborating with software engineers and project managers.
- Champion product offerings through training, conference presentations, and technical tutorials.
Requirements
- 4+ years of experience in technical geospatial or remote sensing roles.
- Proficiency in Python for geospatial applications and data pipeline construction.
- Experience with QGIS, ArcGIS, GDAL, or similar geospatial software.
- Fluency in German and professional working proficiency in English.
- Familiarity with cloud platforms (GCP, AWS, Azure) and Agile methodologies.
