Abridge is building a new agentic engineering team focused on the developer infrastructure that powers how engineers build and ship software. This Senior/Staff role sits at the intersection of AI tooling, CI/CD, and developer experience, with a focus on MCP servers, autonomous agents, and AI-assisted development. The position is hybrid, requiring three days per week in the San Francisco office, and reports directly to the CTO.
Responsibilities
Build and evolve developer infrastructure, including CI/CD systems, build tooling, and developer platforms.
Design and implement agentic workflows, including MCP servers, autonomous agents, and AI-assisted tooling.
Own the end-to-end developer experience from local development to deployment and observability.
Drive technical excellence in architecture and tooling decisions.
Evaluate and adopt AI-powered development tools to deliver productivity gains.
Requirements
Strong experience with CI/CD systems and build tooling (e.g., Bazel, Buck, GitHub Actions, Buildkite, CircleCI).
Hands-on experience with agentic frameworks, MCP servers, LLM tooling, or AI-assisted development workflows.
Experience improving developer experience across local development, CI/CD pipelines, and internal tooling.
Familiarity with public cloud environments (AWS, GCP, or similar).
