Oxford Instruments Andor is seeking a Senior Machine Learning Software Engineer to drive AI innovation in scientific imaging. This role focuses on developing and deploying advanced computer vision and deep learning solutions for image analysis, object detection, and segmentation. The engineer will integrate ML models into high-performance desktop applications and provide technical leadership across the software team.

• Research, develop, and deploy advanced machine learning solutions for image analysis, image processing, object detection, and segmentation.
• Design and maintain robust software, integrating ML algorithms into high-performance desktop applications and contributing to the C++ codebase.
• Profile and optimize model execution for CPU and GPU acceleration, handling large-scale 3D and 4D imaging datasets.
• Provide technical guidance, mentoring, and support to software engineers and test teams.
• Collaborate with software engineers, scientists, product managers, and domain experts from concept to deployment.

• MSc in Computer Science, Data Science, Mathematics, Physics, Engineering, or a related quantitative discipline (or equivalent experience).
• Senior-level experience in software engineering, machine learning development, or advanced applied research.
