Motorola Solutions is seeking a Machine Learning Engineer to apply ML techniques to improve wireless communication systems. The role involves researching and implementing algorithms for link adaptation, interference mitigation, and spectrum sensing. You will collaborate with cross-functional teams to deploy ML models in radio firmware and networking stacks. This hybrid position is based in Los Angeles.
Responsibilities
Research, design, and implement machine learning algorithms to enhance performance in wireless communication systems (e.g., link adaptation, interference mitigation, anomaly detection, spectrum sensing).
Analyze real-world radio frequency datasets to extract insights and develop predictive models.
Develop software prototypes and integrate ML algorithms with radio firmware and networking stack.
Collaborate with cross-functional teams to define ML use cases and evaluate impact.
Contribute to design of data pipelines and infrastructure for model training and validation.
Participate in performance benchmarking and iterative improvement cycles.
Stay current with latest Machine Learning research for wireless and embedded systems.
Requirements
M.S. or Ph.D. in Electrical Engineering, Computer Science, or related field.
Minimum of 3 years of experience in machine learning (or 1 year with PhD).
