AI Research Engineer

Meta is hiring AI Research Engineers to work on frontier AI and applied GenAI across its products. The role focuses on post-training, evaluation, and serving systems for LLMs, as well as building a general-purpose agentic platform. It involves training multimodal foundation models, data curation, and shipping research directly to production. The team owns the loop from training data to production behavior, enabling quick iteration and direct impact on billions of users.

• Contribute to the training of next-generation multimodal foundation models, advancing capabilities in understanding, generation, and grounding.
• Support creative data sourcing and high-quality pre/mid/post-training data curation, and scale/optimize data pipelines for multimodal LLMs.
• Lead, collaborate, and execute on research pushing the state of the art in multimodal reasoning and generation, prioritizing direct application to Meta's products.
• Build post-training, evaluation, and serving systems that turn frontier LLMs into reliable production product experiences.

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or equivalent practical experience.
• Experience as a formal technical lead, leading major technical initiatives with XFN impact, and/or influencing strategy across multiple teams.
• Impressive engineering background (PhD in ML not required).
