About the Role
Mercanis is building an AI-powered procurement platform and is looking for an Agentic AI Engineer to design and build agentic systems that automate procurement workflows. The role involves working with Python, LangGraph, AWS, and foundation models from OpenAI, Anthropic, and AWS Bedrock. You will own core AI components, integrate LLMs, and work remotely in Spain.
Responsibilities
- Design, build, and optimize agentic AI systems for automated procurement workflows.
- Integrate and fine-tune LLMs from providers such as OpenAI, Anthropic, and AWS Bedrock.
- Develop scalable, production-ready AI components using Python, LangGraph, and AWS.
- Collaborate with a distributed team to drive AI-powered decision-making.
Requirements
- Strong professional experience in Python software development.
- Proven experience building AI-driven or agentic systems, preferably with LangGraph or similar frameworks.
- Solid understanding of LLMs and integration with external APIs or structured data.
- Hands-on experience with LLM providers such as OpenAI, Anthropic, or AWS Bedrock.
- Familiarity with cloud-based deployment and scaling on AWS.
- Strong problem-solving skills and a collaborative mindset.
