About the Role
MEDFAR is hiring a Senior Prompt Designer to shape the quality and reliability of its generative AI features, including the CoeurWay AI clinical scribe and emerging AI capabilities in MYLE EMR. The role involves re-architecting monolithic prompts into modular chains, leading LLM selection and evaluation, and building systematic validation processes for healthcare-grade outputs. This is a senior individual contributor position with a path toward mentoring and leading a prompt engineering practice.
Responsibilities
- Re-architect monolithic prompts into modular, maintainable prompt chains
- Lead model selection, evaluation, and pairing for specific prompt tasks
- Own quality of AI-generated clinical outputs and define validation processes
- Evolve the evaluation framework covering clinical note quality rubrics
- Design new prompts and evaluation suites for CoeurWay and MYLE EMR features
- Collaborate with GenAIOps to ensure prompts are observable, versioned, and deployable via CI/CD
- Develop deep understanding of clinical workflows and provider needs
- Mentor future prompt designers and contribute to hiring as the practice scales
Requirements
- 5+ years of professional experience in AI/ML, product development, computational linguistics, or related field
- 2+ years of hands-on prompt engineering experience in production LLM systems
