MCG Health is hiring a Principal Machine Learning Architect to join its Data Science team in Seattle (hybrid, Seattle preferred). You will shape how agent-based AI products move from early concepts to scalable solutions, setting architectural direction and building prototypes that demonstrate value to clinical customers. The role blends hands-on technical discovery with cross-functional partnership across Product, Software Engineering, Data Science, and clinical stakeholders.
Responsibilities
- Lead technical discovery with Product Managers and customers, translating emerging needs into end-to-end architectures for AI features
- Set architectural direction for agent-based solutions, balancing near-term customer needs with scalable long-term designs
- Build prototypes and proof-of-concept experiences to test feasibility, demonstrate value, and gather feedback
- Work directly with early-stage customers to understand their environments, identify adoption barriers, and shape requirements
- Partner with Software Engineers and Data Scientists to move solutions from prototype to reliable, scalable products
- Make architectural tradeoffs visible, identify risks early, and turn ambiguity into clear technical recommendations
- Communicate architecture decisions, constraints, and opportunities across technical, clinical, product, and customer audiences
