Lennar, a leading homebuilder, seeks a Lead Machine Learning Engineer to own and evolve the ML platform, taking ML models from notebook to production. This role involves building ML infrastructure, model serving, retraining pipelines, and MLOps standards using AWS SageMaker, MLflow, and Python. The ideal candidate has deep MLOps expertise and software engineering experience.
Responsibilities
Design and build the ML platform surface for model packaging, deployment, inference, and observability.
Establish ML platform standards and reusable components.
Mentor data scientists and engineers on production ML practices.
Own model serving infrastructure on AWS SageMaker.
Build model registry and retraining pipelines using MLflow and Weights & Biases.
Implement monitoring for drift, performance, and data quality.
Write clean Python and Terraform code.
Requirements
Bachelor’s degree in CS or related field.
7+ years of software engineering experience.
5+ years of hands-on MLOps or ML platform experience.
Strong experience with AWS SageMaker.
Deep experience with MLflow, Weights & Biases.
Strong Python skills.
Experience with infrastructure-as-code (Terraform).
Understanding of batch and real-time inference patterns.
