Joom is a global cross-border marketplace seeking Senior ML Engineers to join its Search, Order Experience, and JoomPro teams. You will develop and improve core search algorithms, recommendation systems, and AI/ML support for order-related queries. The role involves end-to-end ML development, from data analysis to deploying models into production. The tech stack includes Go, Python, Scala, Spark, PyTorch, and modern LLMs.
Responsibilities
- Improve core search algorithms and enhance query understanding and product relevance
- Develop AI/ML support for answering user questions using order context and automating refunds
- Build and automate the full supply cycle for B2B wholesale purchasing
- Work on recommendation systems based on user intent and enhance product discovery
- Develop and debug distributed, high-load applications and write testable code
- Perform end-to-end ML development: raw data analysis, hypothesis formulation, model creation, experimentation, and production deployment
Requirements
- Strong algorithmic skills: knowledge of fundamental algorithms and data structures
- Proficiency in any programming language with experience in distributed, high-load applications
