Permutable is seeking an AI Engineer to join its London-based team and help build next-generation natural language processing, large language model, and market intelligence systems. In this hands-on role, you will design, develop, and deploy production-grade ML pipelines that transform multilingual news and economic data into structured, actionable insights for financial institutions. You will work closely with data scientists and founders to take models from experimentation to live monitoring and continuous improvement.

• Design, build, and deploy production-scale LLM and NLP pipelines for real-time market intelligence.
• Develop and evaluate models using modern machine learning techniques, including transformers, embeddings, and retrieval systems.
• Build and maintain reliable ML infrastructure and data workflows on AWS using tools like Airflow, Docker, and Kubernetes.
• Implement CI/CD, automated testing, and monitoring to ensure system reliability and performance.
• Collaborate directly with data scientists, market analysts, and leadership to shape product direction and solve open-ended technical challenges.

• 2–4 years of professional experience in software engineering, machine learning, or AI engineering.
• Strong proficiency in Python with a solid foundation in software engineering principles.
