About the Role
The AI Forward Deployed Engineering team at Databricks helps federal government customers build and productionize cutting-edge AI applications. This customer-facing role involves developing GenAI solutions, owning production rollouts, and serving as a trusted technical advisor.
Responsibilities
- Develop cutting-edge GenAI solutions using techniques from Mosaic AI Research.
- Own production rollouts of consumer and internally facing GenAI applications.
- Serve as a trusted technical advisor to customers across various domains.
- Present at conferences like Data + AI Summit.
- Collaborate cross-functionally with product and engineering teams to influence the product roadmap.
Requirements
- Experience working with U.S. federal civilian, state, or local agencies.
- Experience building GenAI applications including RAG, multi-agent systems, Text2SQL, fine-tuning with tools like HuggingFace, LangChain, and DSPy.
- Expertise in deploying production-grade GenAI applications, including evaluation and optimizations.
- Extensive hands-on industry data science experience with pandas, scikit-learn, PyTorch, etc.
- Experience building production-grade ML deployments on AWS, Azure, or GCP.
- Graduate degree in a quantitative field or equivalent practical experience.
