About the Role
iManage is seeking a Staff AI Software Engineer to build and deploy AI systems for their enterprise knowledge work platform. This role involves end-to-end ML lifecycle, from training to production, focusing on NLP and generative AI. The position requires hybrid work in Chicago, IL.
Responsibilities
- Own the end-to-end ML lifecycle for AI systems from prototype to production, including model development, evaluation, and scalable deployment.
- Collaborate with product and business stakeholders to translate requirements into technical solutions.
- Deploy and optimize ML/AI systems on GPUs and Kubernetes-based cloud infrastructure.
- Apply modern engineering practices for production AI systems, including monitoring, observability, CI/CD, and release governance.
- Drive architectural decisions for AI systems and mentor team members.
Requirements
- Bachelor's, Master's, or Ph.D. in Computer Science, Machine Learning, or related field.
- 5+ years of ML/AI engineering experience with 3+ years building and shipping NLP and LLM systems.
- Deep proficiency in Python and modern AI frameworks (PyTorch, Hugging Face).
- Experience with fine-tuning and deploying language models.
- Experience with GPU optimization and Kubernetes deployment on cloud (Azure/AWS/GCP).
