About the Role
Funding Circle is seeking a Senior AI Platform Engineer to build and scale the AI platform enabling their GenAI applications. This role involves architecting cloud infrastructure, developing tooling for AI development, and collaborating across teams to embed responsible AI practices.
Responsibilities
- Architect, build, and maintain cloud-based infrastructure for serving AI (ML and GenAI) models and applications
- Develop tooling and frameworks to standardise AI development, implement systems for discovery, monitoring, and governance of AI agents
- Evaluate and integrate third-party AI tools
- Collaborate with stakeholders (Product, Data Science, Engineering, Security, Legal) to ensure platform meets business needs
- Act as subject matter expert on AI platforms and infrastructure, mentor other engineers, and share knowledge
Requirements
- Experience as an engineer in the AI space or strong engineering background (product engineering, data engineering, cloud platform engineering)
- Hands-on experience with LLM-based applications and technologies (RAG, vector databases, agent frameworks)
- Proven ability to design and operate scalable, secure systems on cloud platforms using Infrastructure as Code, containerisation, serverless, data storage
- Excellent cross-functional teamwork and communication skills
