Cohere is seeking a Forward Deployed Engineer to lead the design, build, and deployment of production-grade agentic workflows powered by Large Language Models for UK public sector and enterprise clients. You will act as a technical bridge between Cohere’s North AI workspace platform and customer engineering teams, translating complex business challenges into reliable, secure, and auditable AI agent solutions. This role combines hands-on software development with direct client engagement to deliver high-impact AI integrations across critical industries.
Responsibilities
- Translate ambiguous business problems into well-framed agentic workflows with clear evaluation criteria
- Design, build, and deploy LLM-powered agents that reason, plan, and execute multi-step tasks across enterprise tools and APIs
- Develop and ship features for the North AI workspace platform across the full product lifecycle
- Lead technical discussions with enterprise stakeholders and drive end-to-end use case ownership
- Travel up to 40% to collaborate on-site with customers and partners
Requirements
- Hands-on experience building and deploying production-grade software in Python
- Proven track record developing performant RAG and agentic applications using patterns like ReAct or Plan-and-Execute
