AI Engineer

Fractional AI is a startup partnering with companies like Zapier and Airbyte to build and ship custom AI solutions. As an AI Engineer, you'll design and deploy LLM-powered applications across a variety of industries and work closely with customers throughout the full project lifecycle. You'll also help shape engineering and company culture as the team scales.

• Design and develop custom AI solutions tailored to customer needs, ensuring seamless integration and scalability.
• Partner with a high-caliber team across the full project lifecycle: requirements gathering, prototyping, system design, coding, testing, deployment, and support.
• Actively shape engineering and broader company culture, including how the team learns, hires, and celebrates.

• 4+ years of experience writing exceptional, production-ready code.
• Strong proficiency across multiple programming languages (Python is common).
• Track record building scalable applications with Large Language Models using frameworks such as LangChain, LlamaIndex, etc.
• Comfortable working directly with customers and navigating customer conversations.
• Start-up ready: able to jump in without instruction, embrace a 'no job too big, no job too small' mindset.
• Strong teamwork and communication skills, with a focus on integrity and personal growth.
