Machine Learning QA Engineer

Derq is an MIT spinoff building AI-powered traffic safety and smart infrastructure. They are hiring a Machine Learning QA Engineer to ensure the reliability, accuracy, and performance of their computer vision and ML-based products. The role involves test planning, data analytics, model training, and collaboration with engineering teams.

• Collaborate with AI development and product teams to design effective test plans and test cases for AI products
• Strategize evaluation methodologies, gather data, and perform evaluation reporting
• Perform data analytics on large datasets and monitor product anomalies
• Train and deploy ML models to boost product performance
• Create and maintain documentation of test processes and findings
• Interface and coordinate with Engineering team
• Foster a collaborative, proactive team environment

• Bachelor's degree in Machine Learning, Computer Science, or related analytical domain
• Knowledge of Python, JavaScript, and SQL
• Familiarity with classical ML models (Random Forest, SVM, Naive Bayes)
• Core understanding of mathematical concepts for statistical inference
• Hands-on experience with spreadsheet querying and analytics
• Proficient with annotation tools such as CVAT
• Excellent knowledge of word processing tools and spreadsheets
• Good command of English, both oral and written
• Knowledge of basic statistical principles and detail-oriented attitude
