About the Role
Dell Technologies is seeking a Senior Principal AI Agent Engineer to design scalable, production-ready AI solutions where LLMs can reason, use tools, and automate software engineering tasks. The role focuses on building AI-native engineering systems, steering AI coding agents, and developing evaluation and guardrail frameworks. Candidates should combine strong software engineering fundamentals with experience in agentic AI, orchestration, and RAG.
Responsibilities
- Design and build AI-driven engineering workflows using LLMs and autonomous agents
- Steer and validate AI coding agents to improve engineering throughput and code quality
- Develop testing, evaluation, and guardrail frameworks for AI-generated output
- Optimize context management using embeddings, retrieval, and memory strategies
- Partner with teams to deliver scalable, secure, cloud-native AI solutions
Requirements
- 10+ years of software engineering experience, including hands-on experience building LLM-powered systems, production AI agents, or autonomous workflows
- Strong programming skills in Python, automation tooling, and Kubernetes
- Experience with orchestration frameworks, tool calling, RAG, or evaluation frameworks
- Exceptional problem-solving skills with ability to adapt in fast-moving environments
