About the Role
Credence is seeking a Mid-Level AI Software Engineer to join its AI and Automation practice. The role involves developing and deploying AI solutions using generative AI, LLMs, and agentic AI systems. The engineer will work on federal projects requiring U.S. citizenship and security clearance.
Responsibilities
- Contribute to projects using generative AI and LLMs to prototype and refine AI capabilities.
- Support end-to-end AI development including model selection, agent creation, and tool calling.
- Maintain strong software engineering principles and leverage AI code generation.
- Collaborate with data engineers, software engineers, and data scientists.
- Automate model deployment using IaC, CI/CD, and container orchestration.
- Monitor and optimize AI systems post-deployment.
- Write clean, well-documented code following federal guidelines.
Requirements
- U.S. Citizenship with eligibility for DoD Secret clearance.
- Bachelor's or Master's in Computer Science, AI/ML, or related field.
- 3–5 years of hands-on experience delivering AI/ML solutions.
- Experience with generative AI, LLMs, and tool calls (MCP).
- Experience with agentic frameworks (Agent2Agent, Bedrock Agents, Mastra, CrewAI, etc.).
