About the Role
Build AI capabilities end-to-end at commercetools, from data and context to agent orchestration and generative UI. You will ship full-stack AI features into production, integrating LLMs with backend systems and streaming UI. This role requires 5+ years of production software experience and 2+ years building with LLMs in production.
Responsibilities
- Build agent loops and orchestration with tool use, structured outputs, and business-rule enforcement
- Integrate agents with backend systems via MCP for secure API calls
- Render model output into live, streamed, accessible UI using generative-UI protocols
- Ground models in real data using retrieval, embeddings, and feedback loops
- Treat evals as a first-class system for provable improvement
- Take capabilities from prompt to production with guards and measurements
Requirements
- 5+ years shipping production software
- 2+ years building with LLMs in production (real users, not demos)
- Hands-on experience with generative/agent-driven UI protocols (A2UI, AG-UI, MCP-UI, or similar)
- Proficiency in Python and TypeScript/Node + React
- Experience with async, streaming, and observability
- Working fluency with retrieval/embeddings and SQL
