About the Role
Cohere is hiring an Applied AI Engineer to build AI-powered agent and automation experiences within North, its AI workspace platform. The role involves shipping production-ready LLM features such as agent builders, eval frameworks, proactive assistants, and interfaces for collaborating with AI. You will work across product engineering, modeling, and design to improve reliability and user outcomes in enterprise workflows.
Responsibilities
- Build AI-powered product experiences for creating, configuring, evaluating, and improving workflows across North.
- Design and ship new interfaces for interacting with models, including workflow builders, proactive assistants, and review flows.
- Build eval, observability, and feedback systems to measure AI experience success in enterprise workflows.
- Improve AI reliability through prompting, context construction, tool-use strategies, instrumentation, and feedback loops.
- Turn production failures and user feedback into better product behavior, eval suites, and modeling signals.
- Work with modeling, product, design, and customer teams to define what 'good' means for specific workflows.
Requirements
- Shipped LLM-powered, agent-powered, or AI-assisted product experiences into production and improved them based on real-world feedback.
- Strong software engineering skills across backend systems, user-facing product, data, evals, and model behavior.
