About the Role
A rapidly growing VC-backed startup in New York is seeking an ML Engineer to design, build, and deploy production-grade ML systems with end-to-end ownership of the model lifecycle. The role involves developing AI-powered solutions for natural speech interaction and real-time audio understanding, working with cross-functional teams, and handling the entire AI lifecycle from data acquisition to production monitoring.
Responsibilities
- Design, build, and deploy production-grade ML systems
- Architect and deliver AI-powered solutions for natural speech interaction
- Develop and optimize ML models for audio data
- Build agents operating on real-world audio
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to shape AI stack
- Work directly with customers to gather feedback
- Handle entire AI lifecycle: data acquisition, training, deployment, monitoring
- Continuously improve ML infrastructure
Requirements
- Bachelor's or Master's in CS, ML, AI or related field
- 1-6 years of professional ML engineering experience
- Strong Python skills
- Hands-on experience with PyTorch or TensorFlow
- Familiarity with cloud environments (preferably AWS)
- Understanding of data pipeline design, real-time inference, model monitoring
- Excellent communication skills
