ML Engineer

Catalyst Labs is hiring an ML Engineer for a New York-based VC-backed startup that uses AI to analyze real-world sales conversations. This role involves designing and deploying production ML systems, focusing on audio data and natural speech interaction. The ideal candidate has 1-6 years of ML engineering experience and proficiency in Python and ML frameworks like PyTorch or TensorFlow.

• Design, build, and deploy production-grade ML systems with end-to-end ownership of the model lifecycle.
• Architect and deliver AI-powered solutions for natural speech interaction and real-time audio understanding.
• Develop and optimize ML models focused on audio data to extract business insights from unstructured voice data.
• Build agents capable of operating natively on real-world audio inputs.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to shape the AI stack and drive innovation in LLM and audio ML.
• Work directly with customers to identify needs and deliver impactful solutions.
• Handle the entire AI lifecycle from data acquisition to production monitoring.
• Continuously improve ML infrastructure and processes for scalability and performance.

• Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Machine Learning, AI, or related field.
• 1-6 years of professional experience in ML engineering.
