About the Role
WELL Health Technologies is hiring an Applied AI Engineer to design, build, deploy, and optimize AI-powered solutions that create measurable business value. This hands-on role focuses on taking AI concepts to production, including agents, assistants, automations, and applications, while working closely with business, data, and technology teams. The role is fully remote and based anywhere in Canada, with a preference for Toronto or Vancouver.
Responsibilities
- Design, build, deploy, and continuously improve AI-powered solutions for real business challenges.
- Collaborate with business stakeholders to understand needs and translate them into production-ready AI applications.
- Deliver AI agents, assistants, automations, and applications that improve efficiency and support decision-making.
- Ensure AI solutions are reliable, scalable, and governed, with attention to data security and monitoring.
Requirements
- Strong hands-on experience building and deploying AI solutions into production environments.
- Solid understanding of integration, secure data access, testing, monitoring, and governance for AI systems.
- Ability to navigate ambiguity and work closely with stakeholders to define technical paths forward.
- Curiosity, creativity, and business acumen to solve complex business problems with AI.
